First we have created a new listserv for birds and birding in Utah: UBIRD
Second we have launched a new website: http://www.utahbirders.com/
Currently the websites sole purpose is to promote the UBIRD listserv, but eventually we hope to use it with the rest of the Utah birding community to promote birding in Utah.
The listserv is open to EVERYONE, and the rules are pretty simple right now. Click through any of the links in this post and you can find out more information. You can also use the contact from at the top of this page if you have any questions or comments.
We look forward to the future of online birding in Utah with UBIRD and http://www.utahbirders.com/

I am grateful for the good folks that have managed Utah Bird Talk and Bird Net. Times are a-changing and restricting listserv content necessitates the rise of less restrictive forums. I am going to close down The PUB - Promoting Utah Birding, a Yahoo Group, in favor of UBIRD. I'm glad to have someone else manage it. Best wishes in this new endeavor and if I can help in any way, I'd be glad to.

That is exactly the reason we thought it would be best to start our own listserv that better fits our needs. We also think that there are many others out there that would like to see a listserv similar to the one we've been looking for, and finally created.
Wait, wasn't this my idea? Didn't I suggest it on Birdtalka few months back? Do I get any credit for this? haha jokes
