Does it bug you when you see photos or take a photo of a bird with its wing tips cut out of the frame? I used to delete photos like this, but I have saved a few in recent years. I think photos like this are still nice, but I do wish the whole bird was in the frame.Labels: photography, raptors

Great shot, love the look in those eyes!!
But if I saw that in my viewfinder I'd duck!
In these cases, if I feel the photo is "ruined," I usually crop tighter and create a portrait.
Or, I use it to teach how NOT to take a photo!
One such photo I used to explain molt.
