Thanks for sharing Carl. One issue in Utah is that people often associate the diminutive size of a white cheeked goose with only being Cackling. The problem really is the Parvipes subspecies which are similar in size. Just because a goose is small doesn't make it a cackler--the shape of the head and bill are very important and should be studied carefully.
