Another raptor quiz

Here is a bird from the other day in Utah. A typical field view of a typical plumage, no tricks here, just a bird a bit too far fine detail. Anyone want to venture a guess, or more than a guess. I have faith that this will be answered quickly.

I like Prairie Falcon too as I can make out a supercil....line above the eye as well as a mustache. The dark markings on the breast look good for the field mark axillaries. And, if the pole could be a reference I don't think it would be a Buteo due to size.

Yes, a juvenile Prairie Falcon....too easy I guess. But thank you for the responses, it is appreciated.

And the name "Sarah Waterfowl" is just too perfect for a birder, awesome!

I will keep them coming...why not? Its just for fun and to test yourself, not necessarily on skill, but on how careful one looks at things.

A little friendly competition never hurt anybody....I'll make the next quiz difficult.

Thanks for the interest
